Goals and Values

International Youth Advocate Foundation (IYAF) believes:

• in the rights of the child
• that the best place for the child is in his/her own home
• that parents can learn to take good care of their children
• that the adults of the world can assist children to meet their potentials
• that the best way to enact real and lasting change is to provide services and system advocacy on behalf of children
• in the power of a commonly shared vision
• that successful commitments are made between open and trusting parties

IYAF will:

• remain accountable and uphold a commitment to excellence
• offer high quality services that protect youth and strengthen family ties
• promote its services through chapters by offering training and consultation
• strengthen our chapters by providing them with the data, resources and ideas necessary to enhance their information systems
• ensure that cultural diversity is upheld in all aspects of service
