Constant and Never Ending Improvement (CANEI) is an innovative program for adolescents with histories of aggressive, defiant or violent behavior who are served by the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Youth Advocate Program International (YAP-I) was founded in 1994, opening in Washington , DC , in 1996. Our staff promotes and protects the rights and well-being of the world's youth, giving particular attention to children victimized by conflict, exploitation, and state and personal violence. California Youth Advocate Program (CAYAP)'s goal is to strengthen families by promoting family stability. CAYAP advocates for children, youth and families by caring for them directly and individually through its youth services and programs and by advocating with public officials on behalf of children and youth who are at risk of being forgotten or abandoned by society. Nonviolence International (NI) is a private non-profit non-governmental organization founded in 1988 by Dr. Mubarak Awad . It grew out of the Palestinian Centre for the Study of Nonviolence established in Jerusalem before Mubarak Awad 's expulsion from Palestine . NI provides ongoing assistance for nonviolent action in any regions of the world, including Russia , the Newly Independent States, Palestine , Thailand , Burma , and Ghana. The Mubarak E. Awad Scholarship Fund awards yearly scholarship grants to deserving recipients. Once a year, the M.E.A. Scholarship Fund accepts applications for grants, which include essays, transcripts and recommendations. On the basis of these submissions, the Board selects a deserving scholarship recipient. |
